Art in Isolation Residency

Five Western Australian Artists Respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic

A responsive residency in isolation

About Us

The Provocation

Art is a sublime state that exists outside the body – a force bigger than the individual, a more-than-human landscape that we each inhabit through our practice.

The 5 artists will spend 5 days in residence, responding to this idea. Artists will be posting online daily during their residency, and at the conclusion of their research, they will live-stream the results online, forming the starting point of the next artist’s research.

This project would not have been possible without the support of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, and Paper Mountain
